"Bike Path Flasher" Strikes Again at East Town Mall
May 4, 2011 Madison, WI
Loren Pate was arrested for allegedly exposing himself in the women's clothing department at JC Penney in East Towne Mall and tentatively charged with lewd and lascivious behavior and resisting an officer. He was taken into custody following a struggle outside the mall, with three officers and a Taser needed to bring Pate under control. Store security provided police with a video of the sex act, as well as other evidence.

On November 27, 2010 Pate had his first run in with the police. After months of reported sightings of a man exsposing himself near bike paths by Olbrich Park and Glenway Golf course, police got a call of a man with his pants down around his ankles near the southwest commuter path. An officer drove her car down the bike path, and as the squad came into view, the suspect began to flee into the woods. The officer chased the suspect on foot as he was heading toward his vehicle parked in Forest Hill Cemetery, making the arrest before he was able to drive away.
