Man Crashes Car Into Visions Nightclub

July 6, 2010 – Madison, WI
Keith Rasmussen, of Racine, crashed his car through the front door and wall of Vision's Night Club. He had been asked to leave after he vomited inside. He then got in his SUV in the parking lot, put it in reverse and slammed it into the building. A witness told police he and a woman had to jump out of the way to avoid being hit. After hitting the building, Rasmussen's vehicle jumped the curb and drove down East Washington at a high rate of speed. Someone called 911 after seeing the SUV pull into a parking lot at a high speed.

When the police caught up with Rasmussen, they asked him how he was doing. Rasmussen said, “Not good,” but he had “seen some nice strippers.” He then denied driving the SUV, telling police Martians helped get him to his current location.

Rasmussen then told police that he had come to Madison from Racine to decapitate his sister. When police asked how he was going to do that he told them to look in a bag in his vehicle, where police found a knife in sheath. “If she was there she would be in two pieces” he said.

Rasmussen was charged with two counts of second-degree reckless endangerment along with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
