Light-red brick Built by James Douglas McBride - McBride's Point

The home has five bedrooms, three bathrooms, a grand living parlor, original crown moldings, a private library/sitting parlor with a wet bar and a breakfast porch.

Wisconsin governor Robert M. La Follette and his wife Belle moved here from downtown Madison in 1905. A 60-acre farm at the time they lived here until his death in 1925. After three generations Bronson C. La Follette was the last of the family to live in the house.
